Learn what the surrogacy journey looks like as a surrogate

Hi everyone. Ashley Old, Case Manager at Bright Futures Families Surrogacy, here with your Ask a Surrogate Expert question. This week's question is: How often do both intended parents want to be in the delivery room and do they ever ask for others to be there as well?

We have noticed that intended parents usually defer to the gestational carrier's preferences to the delivery room, and we do not normally see a request from intended parents for any extended family or friends. Of course, most intended parents would love the opportunity to be in the delivery room, especially if the gestational carrier says yes because they get to witness the birth of their baby. Thanks for the question.
